Southern Iced Tea

Notes: Bold, Fruity Tones. Light and Refreshing Black Tea with lower Sugar

Ingredients for a 1-gallon brew

1-Gallon Teabag (or 1oz of Tea)
1 Gallon of Cold, Clean, Spring Water
2/3 Cup of Sugar

Directions

1. Add Teabag to Pitcher.

2. Fill a pot with 1 quart of cold, clean Spring water and bring to boil. Pour water over Teabag.

3. Steep tea for 10 minutes, then remove Teabag. Dark tones of tea blend very well with light sugar for the ultimate Southern iced tea.

4. Stir in 2/3 cup Sugar.

5. Add 3 quarts cold clean Spring water.

6. Pour immediately over ice for a satisfying blend of hot and cold.

Additional tip:

You have one chance at adding the sugar - while the tea is HOT. (If you try to add sugar to cold tea it will sit in the form of hard sandy granules on the bottom of the pitcher.)

Sweet Tea

Notes: Bold, Intense Flavor. High Caffeine, Heavy Tannins and Sugar

Ingredients for a 1-gallon brew

1-Gallon Teabag (or 1oz of Tea)
1 Gallon of Cold, Clean, Spring Water
2 Cups of Sugar

Directions

1. Add Teabag to Pitcher.

2. Fill a pot with 1 quart of cold, clean Spring water and bring to boil. Pour hot water over Teabag in Pitcher.

3. Steep tea for 30 minutes, then remove Teabag.

4. Stir in 2 cups Sugar until dissolved. Dark and bitter tannic black tea tones are balanced with heavy sugar for a traditional sweet iced tea.

5. Add 3 quarts cold clean Spring water.

6. Pour immediately over ice for a satisfying blend of hot and cold.
